“He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives, and the release from darkness for the prisoners.” (Isaiah 61:1)
Our tenets will provide the direction into the way we will live and work together in the mission of the Gospel.
Clarity of Mission
There is so much to be done in our Mission. We know what our part is, and upon that we focus our resources and plans. We are a message-centered ministry. That message is the restoration of the warrior’s heart--walking with God, from a restored heart, in His Larger Story for Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Airmen, and Coast Guard.
Irreversible Change
Our events, future resources, and ministry decisions enable irreversible change--transformation of hearts and lives through cleansing prayer, healing, and understanding the Father’s love, and walking with God.
Walk with God—Conversational Intimacy with God
In all that we plan, we leave room for God. There’s more to Him than character, morality, wisdom, and sound biblical doctrine.
Crawl, Walk, Run—Tribal/Dynamic/Fluid
We view our development as an organization in stages: (in our business plan we will have 3 phases). Instead of an institutional hierarchy, ORW is led by a community of ministry called leaders sharing their gifts, perspectives, and the weight of their lives in a unified voice and direction. The focus is our mission, not the organization.
Focused On Restoration--Not Renovation
We are a ministry that believes God’s promise to “take away our heart of stone” and “give us a new heart” (Ezekiel 36:26) has been accomplished by the work of Jesus Christ.
Love, Forgiveness, and Humility
We acknowledge that all we have been given is a gift from God. God’s love and forgiveness as revealed in our restored hearts brings us wisdom and revelation, compels us to humility, and draws us to the service of others.
